A Town Where Half the Driveways Are New
Lathrop is not a typical Central Valley delivery, and the reason is that a lot of it was built recently and is still being built.
That changes the two things that actually decide a roll-off booking: what the driveway can take, and what the community will allow. Neither is about the city.
River Islands, Mossdale Landing, and Stanford Crossing are managed communities with rules of their own, and in our experience those rules catch more Lathrop customers than any municipal requirement does. Older Central and East Lathrop is a more conventional conversation.
The Managed Community Question
Ask before you book. It saves everybody a phone call.
Community associations commonly govern three things that affect a container: where it can sit, how many days it can stay, and whether the association needs notice first. Some require the container to be on the driveway rather than the street under any circumstances. Some cap the rental at a specific number of days.
We cannot waive any of that, and we do not file it for you. What we can do is build the booking around it. Tell us what your CC&Rs say and we will set the delivery and the pickup so the container is gone inside your window rather than sitting there generating a letter.
The New-Build Driveway Problem
In older towns the constraint is overhead canopy. In Lathrop’s newer neighborhoods it is width.
Lots here are efficient. Driveways are frequently sized for exactly two cars with little margin on either side, and the property line is closer than it looks. A roll-off is 8 feet wide, and the truck needs to back in straight rather than at an angle.
The practical answer: send a photo when you book. Ten seconds of looking at it tells us whether we are bringing a 30-yard, a 20-yard, or suggesting you use the wider side of the pad.
Established Central and East Lathrop, and the older lots toward the river, generally have more room and fewer surprises.
Sizing for Lathrop Jobs
The 14-yard covers a garage, a single room, a yard clear-out, or any load that is mostly heavy material. Its shorter footprint also makes it the safe answer on a tight new-build driveway.
The 20-yard suits a remodel, a move-in clear-out after taking possession, a garage plus accumulated yard debris.
The 30-yard covers whole-house volume and sustained construction debris. Practical here when the driveway is genuinely wide enough and the association allows the duration.
More detail on choosing between them.
New Construction and Renovation Debris
A meaningful share of Lathrop bookings are construction rather than cleanout, and they split by material.
Framing offcuts, drywall, packaging, flooring, and fixtures are volume loads. Container size is what drives the price and the quote is straightforward.
Concrete washout, excavated soil, rock, and brick are weight loads. Those go in a 14-yard on a bed-load quote, because a large container full of that material cannot legally leave the property. Mixed loads are fine, we just need the composition before choosing the box.
What Goes In
Household contents, furniture, appliances, construction debris, drywall, wood, metal, roofing, flooring, and yard waste all go in without issue. Freon appliances and electronics are accepted, and worth flagging at booking.
Wet paint, solvents, automotive fluids, batteries, and tires are out. That is the disposal facility’s rule rather than ours, and a load carrying them can be turned away. The full list is here.
Booking
Call or text (209) 289-5650 with the address, the project, and, if you are in a managed community, what the association allows.
You will get a size, a full price approved before we dispatch, and a delivery window that fits inside your rules rather than testing them.
